Sniffer Early Access Terms

1. What these terms cover

These terms apply when you reserve a Sniffer by placing a $30 deposit. They cover the reservation only: the deposit, the price, the timing, cancellation, and refunds.

The seller is CareTech Human Inc., 526 Campus Road, Weill Hall 407a, Ithaca, NY 14853.

A reservation is not yet a purchase of the device. Before you make the final payment, we will send you the terms of sale, the warranty, the return policy, and the membership terms. You can read them before you decide to pay.

Our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy also apply. Where they differ from these terms on anything about your reservation, these terms apply.

2. Who can reserve

You must be 18 or older.

One reservation per email address. Each reservation is for one device.

Your reservation is personal to you and cannot be transferred, sold, or given to someone else.

3. The deposit

The deposit is $30, paid through Stripe on a page hosted by Stripe.

The deposit holds your place and your price. It is applied toward the price of your Sniffer when you make the final payment.

We do not pay interest on deposits.

4. The Early Access price

The Early Access price is $249. It includes:

• one Sniffer device
• your first year of Sniffer Membership
• 50% off a second membership for your household, for that membership's first year

The price we expect to charge at launch is $399. That is a planned price, not a price the device has been sold at.

Sales tax and shipping are not included. We will tell you both before you make the final payment.

5. The first batch and timing

The Early Access price applies to the first batch of 300 devices.

We are targeting Mid 2027 for the first batch. This is a target, not a guaranteed date. Development and manufacturing timelines can change. We will email you when the timing changes.

If the wait becomes longer than you want, you can cancel and get your deposit back at any time before your Sniffer ships. See section 7.

If you reserve after the first 300 places are taken, you join the queue for a later batch. The $249 price is not guaranteed for later batches. We will tell you the price and the expected timing before you make the final payment, and you can cancel with a full refund if you do not accept them.

6. The final payment

When your Sniffer is ready to ship, we will email you a payment link for the remaining $219, plus shipping and sales tax.

You have 30 days from the date of that email to pay. If you do not pay within 30 days, your reservation is cancelled and we refund your $30 deposit.

Nothing is charged automatically. We only take a payment when you use a payment link we send you.

7. Cancelling and refunds

You can cancel at any time before your Sniffer ships. Email sniffer@caretechhuman.com from the email address you used to reserve. We refund the $30 to your original payment method within 10 business days of your request.

We also refund your deposit, without you having to ask, if:

• we cannot deliver your Sniffer
• we cannot ship to your country
• we cancel your reservation for any reason in section 10

Once your Sniffer has shipped, the deposit is part of the price you paid for the device. Returns after delivery are covered by the return policy we send you before the final payment.

8. Changes to the product

Sniffer is still in development. Features, specifications, design, and the set of measurements available at launch may change before it ships.

If what we can deliver differs in a material way from what we described when you reserved, we will tell you before we ask for the final payment. You can then cancel and get your full deposit back.

9. Membership

An active Sniffer Membership is required for Sniffer to work.

Your first year of membership is included in the Early Access price. After that, membership is billed yearly. The current price is $99 per year.

Membership does not renew automatically. Before your second year starts, we will email you the price and a payment link. Nothing is charged unless you use that link.

The full membership terms will be sent to you with the terms of sale, before the final payment.

10. When we can cancel a reservation

We may cancel a reservation and refund the deposit if:

• the same person holds more than one reservation, including through different email addresses
• we have reason to believe the reservation was made fraudulently or with someone else's payment details
• the reservation was made in breach of these terms
• we stop the Early Access program or cannot fulfill the reservation

In each case we refund the full deposit to the original payment method within 10 business days.

11. What Sniffer is

Sniffer is a wellness device. It is for general wellness and informational purposes only. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

12. Our liability for the reservation

Our total liability to you arising from a reservation is limited to the amount you paid for it.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived. If you live in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, your statutory consumer rights are not affected.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Disputes will be heard in the state or federal courts located in New York.

If you live in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live, or of the right to bring proceedings there.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms for new reservations. The version that applied when you reserved continues to apply to your reservation, unless a later change is in your favor.

We keep past versions and will send you the version that applies to you on request.
